"Actual Cost" above is actual hours × Mangrove's own rate card to FF. Note this project was quoted to Firefly at 200h blended $100/hr rather than role-based. Tracked hourly internally, but Maiya's floor is $20,000 — that bakes in the rush rate — so it's unlikely this lands below the quoted price, which Borealis has already accepted.

Hourly vs. fixed fee — still the real question

Maiya, in the group DM: "I'm billing hourly, but tbh I'd love to have more of a fixed fee mapped to scope with monthly bills." Stephanie countered that even a deposit is still billing actuals underneath. Jen agreed to "dial in the projects we have going live" first. Maiya committed to a cross-project sheet and shared rules of engagement — no record it was ever sent.
